Before the game, the two long time rivals came together in a show of unity. The AU women's volleyball program and Head Coach
James Seitelman have been selling socks that don the AU logo in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Colon Cancer. The Eagles of Benedictine, led by their Head Coach Jennifer Wildes, purchased a pair of socks for each BU player and wore them during tonight's contest. The Spartans then went on to defeat the Eagles 3-1 in an always entertaining match up between the teams.
