HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans found themselves trailing for the fional nine minutes of the first-half.
- The deficit grew to 10 for AU with 3:20 to play in the opening half.
- AU went on a 12-3 run to end the half trailing 52-51.
- The Spartans showed up to the second half with the hot hand going on a 9-0 run after three three point baskets.
- The AU run continued to 15-2 and the Spartans had complete control of the contest, leading 66-54 just 3:30 into the second-half.
- AU controlled the game for the rest of the half and led by as much as 27 when Chris Mahoney hit a three to give AU triple digits at 100-73..
- AU defeated Concordia University Chicago 108-94.
 
FOR THE SPARTANS
- Ty Carlson had 24 points, four rebounds and four assists.
- Max Vickers had 21 points, six rebounds and three assists.
