- AU fell behind 2-0 in the first period.
- With 28 seconds to go in the opening period, Spartan Rihards Marenis pulled AU within one with a goal and he was assisted by Josh Delezenne.
- Just 17 seconds later, Point scored to take a 3-1 lead into the first intermission.
- Point added a goal early in the second to lead 4-1.
- Spartan Rudolfs Kalvitis scored in between a pair of Pointer goals in the third. He was assisted by Delezenne and Lordanthony Grissom.
