The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team was welcomed home to a fun and loud crowd but came up just shy in their NACC contest against Concordia Chicago, losing 74-66.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans started slowly and fell behind early to Concordia Chicago 12-4 before trailing 21-12 at the end of the first quarter.
- In the second quarter, AU could not buy a basket as they found themselves down by 15 (32-17) midway through the quarter.
- A 14-2 run to close out the half, led by six points from Julie Galauner and four from Bri Hall found the Spartans down 34-31 at halftime.
- The Spartans continued the run to start the third, rattling off 11 straight points to lead 42-34 with 6:23 to go.
- With 4:24 to play in the third, AU held their biggest lead of the night, 48-39 following a Galauner three ball.
- CUC stormed back though, out scoring AU 14-6 in the final minutes of the third quarter.
- The Spartans scored the first basket of the fourth but like the opening quarter, the offense went silent. CUC grew the lead to nine before the final score of 74-66.
