The Aurora University men's hockey team held Northland College scoreless for over 50 minutes but needed a late goal to tie the contest. Nick Minerva had both AU goals including the game tying goal with 25 seconds to play and sending AU to a tie.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU scored the games first goal midway through the first period with Nick Minerva lighting the lamp. Luke Picek and Ron Lindgren picked up assists on the play.
- The game would remain 1-0 through the first two periods.
- Midway through the third period, Northland tied the game up 1-1.
- With just under seven minutes left in the third, Northland scored to go ahead 2-1.
- With 25 seconds to play, AU tied the game. Nick Minerva scored for the second time on the night. Drew Doyon and Rihards Marenis assisted on the goal.
- Neither team found the back of the net in the five minute overtime session and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.
