The Aurora University men's track team faced their toughest task of the season so far by competing at the illustrious 2017 Chicagoland Track and Field Championship hosted by North Central College. The Spartan men placed 8
th out of 19 teams in a stacked field of competition.

Jimmy Baeskens made a statement in the men's 5,000 meter race by breaking his own school record with a mark of 15:36 in an excruciatingly painful performance earning him ninth place in the meet. Junior thrower
Ryan Njegovan had yet another phenomenal performance by breaking his own conference shot put record with a throw of 17.44m, which also earned him first place in the meet and is currently the top mark in the nation for Division III. The men's distance medley relay squad composed of freshman
