The Aurora University women's basketball team built an early lead but couldn't quite hold on as they fell to the visiting Raiders of Milwaukee School of Engineering 69-59.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans and Raiders battled in the opening quarter with AU taking a 14-13 lead just before the session ended on a three from
Allie Reichert.
The second quarter saw the Spartans opened up the game aided by a 10-0 run over a 2:30 minute span in the middle of the quarter.
Sami Hultine started the run with a three and
Allie Reichert scored four points.
AU headed into halftime leading by 11, 36-25.
Coming out of halftime, the visiting Raiders started on a 16-4 run to take a 41-40 lead with 3:14 to play.
The Spartans regrouped to score the final basket of the quarter on a lay-up from Reichert and led 44-43 after three quarters.
AU led 47-45 two minutes into the fourth but saw the Raiders run off a 12-0 run as AU then trailed 57-47.
The Spartans got the game within six several times in the final minute but couldn't get that next basket as they would fall 69-59.
