The Aurora University women's lacrosse team remained unbeaten in Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference action with a 10-7 victory at Augsburg College on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Spartans jumped out to a fast lead of 4-0 in the first five minutes of the game. Goals came from Taylor Arcivar, Lauren Whitfield, Andrea Colford and Kenny Hughes.
Augsburg scored twice just 15 seconds a part to cut the AU lead to 4-2.
At 21:47 of the first, Taylor Arcivar added her second of the game giving AU a 5-2 advantage.
Augsburg scored three straight goals and with 11:30 left in the opening half, the game was knotted 5-5.
Andrea Colford scored the final two goals of the first half 42 seconds a part (8:47 and 8:05) with assists on both goals from Lauren Whitfield.
AU took a 7-5 lead into halftime.
With Augsburg scoring the first two goals of the second half, the game was tied at 7-7 and remained that way until more than halfway through the second session.
The Spartans had a woman up advantage and Kenny Hughes scored three seconds into the advantage for what would prove to be the game winning goal. Kendall Urban assisted on the goal.
AU's Lauren Whitfield scored twice in the final 2:28 to add some insurance as the Spartans were victorious 10-7.

FOR THE SPARTANS
Lauren Whitfield led AU in all categories on Saturday as she had three goals, two assists, nine ground balls, five caused turnovers and two draw controls.
Andrea Colford had three goals.
Reilly Armstrong had six saves in the victory.
Taylor Arcivar had two goals and one assist with two draw controls.
Kenny Hughes had two goals and five caused turnovers.
