Spartans score 44 runs in sweep of Muskies

The Aurora University Spartan baseball team walloped Lakeland University in a home doubleheader with winds blowing out helping the Spartans offense put up 44 combined runs and 47 hits.

- With the wind blowing out, AU managed 24 hits from 12 Spartans and scored 25 runs in six innings.
- AU scored in all six innings with eight run innings in the third and fifth innings.
- Spartan Adam Lipscomb drove in eight runs, doing so in four of his five at bats, with his first at bat, he reached on an error as an AU run did also score.

- 12 Spartans collected hits in game two with 11 scoring at least one run,
- Michael Fidler drove in six runs with two long home runs.
- Jeff Woods, Fidler and Mike Cherven all homered in the 10 run second inning.
- Jacob Stockman hurled the complete game, allowing one run, striking out eight, scattering five hits and walked none.
