Box Score The Aurora University men's lacrosse team traveled to Gross Pointe Farms, Michigan for a neutral site match up with Wittenberg University on Saturday. The Spartans prevailed in a tightly played contest 13-12 in overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The game was back and forth in the scoring column with each team making a run.
AU jumped out to a 3-1 lead behind goals from Trevor McNamara, Joey Lucchesi and Nick Glaser.
After Wittenberg tied the game, AU embarked on a 5-0 run with two goals each from Bailey Smith and Ben Arends and a tally from McNamara. With 5:44 left in the second, AU led 8-3.
Wittenberg answered with a 4-0 run to pull back to within one at 8-7.
Spartan Jason Koziol closed out the first-half scoring with his tally with two seconds remaining.
Koziol then scored the opening tally of the third quarter on an assist from McNamara and AU led 10-7.
A Wittenberg run tied the game at 10-10 early in the fourth quarter.
The teams traded goals in the fourth with Wittenberg scoring with 2:02 to play, tying the game 12-12 and sending the battle to overtime.
With 3:29 on the clock in overtime, Jason Koziol scored his fourth of the day and AU won 13-12.
