The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference schedule opened for the Aurora University women's soccer program as the Spartans traveled to Edgewood College. The Spartans tasted victory for the first time in 2017 as they won the always tough NACC road contest 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU led early as freshman
Jessica Ortiz scored 2:54 into the game off an assist from
Kaitlin Im Hof. Im Hof passed to Munoz who scored in traffic from the middle of the box.
- About eight minutes later Ortiz struck again as the corralled a loose ball in front of the box and beat the defense high.
- Edgewood cut the AU lead to 2-1 in the 30th minute.
- The teams went into halftime and well into the second-half with the same 2-1 score.
- In the 82nd minute, Spartan
Alexis Abelove scored on a free-kick from just outside the 18-yard box to give AU a commanding 3-1 lead.
- Edgewood scored in the 85th minute but the Spartan defense held strong for the 3-2 win.
