The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team out lasted the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday night 58-52.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU led early in the first behind four points from Adriana Ramirez.
- The Spartans would take a 12-9 lead into the first quarter break.
- The lead remained in favor of the Spartans in the second with AU building a six point lead on two occasions including heading into halftime at 26-20.
- Spartans Alyssa Brems and Adriana Ramirez led all scorers in the first-half with 10 points apiece.
- AU led 29-23 before MSOE countered with a 10-2 run to take the first lead from the Spartans in the game.
- A jumper from Bri Hall tied the game at 37 and a pair of free-throws with 34 seconds left in the third, AU's first of the game, from Allie Reichert gave the Spartans a lead (39-37) they would not relinquish.
- A three from Julie Galauner just before the end of the third gave the Spartans a 42-37 lead going to the fourth.
- The Spartans would lead by as many as eight points in the fourth but the pesky Raiders would not go away quietly. 
- AU made enough free-throws down the stretch to hang on and win 58-52.
 
FOR THE SPARTANS
- Adriana Ramirez had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
- Alyssa Brems had a game-high 18 points.
- Meija Rabi had 10 points.
- Julia Galauner had nine points and six rebounds.
