The Aurora University Spartan men's basketball team battled the MSOE Raiders in a game of top teams in the NACC standings. AU looked to have the game in hand in th final minutes before a technical foul for clapping turned the games momentum and the Spartans fell 77-74.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed throughout the first-half but would not trail by more than seven.

Ty Carlson led AU with 11 points in the first-half as AU trailed 39-35 going to halftime.
- The Spartans continued to trail in the second-half and saw a game-high deficit of 10 with four minutes played in the half.
- AU trailed 55-46 with 12:25 to go in the game.
- Over the next 8:30 the Spartans out scored MSOE 26-8 and led by 9, 72-63.
- A defensive stop by the Spartans with 3:37 to go in the game saw AU's
Marcus Myers get a technical foul for excited clapping.
- The ensuing free throws turned the games momentum as the Raiders who were flustered to that point, regained their composure.
- MSOE then ran off a 13-0 run and led 76-72 with 19 seconds to go.
- AU went 1-of-8 from the field in the final 3:37 and would fall 77-74. A last second three hit the back of the rim in an attempt to send the game to overtime.
