The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team led from the first basket and went on to easily defeat the Sabres of Marian University, 71-51.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU led 10-0 and with 3:20 to go in the first led by 12 (16-4) following a three from Alyssa Brems.
- The Spartans led after one quarter, 16-7.
- AU led by double digits throughout the second quarter and heading to halftime had a game-high lead of 18 at 37-19 on an Emma Ruff layup.
- The third quarter saw much of the same as AU had their way with the Sabres.
- When Bailey Kramer hit a three with 2:19 left, AU led by 25 at 56-31.
- AU led 56-34 after three quarters.
- The fourth quarter found AU hold their lead in the 20's and go on to win 71-51.

FOR THE SPARTANS
- Julie Galauner had 17 points on five-of-eight from three point range.
- Alyssa Brems had 16 points and five assists.
- Meija Rabi had 10 rebounds, six points, four assists and four steals.
- Bailey Kramer had 13 points and four assists.
