The Aurora University men's hockey team extended their unbeaten streak to three games with a 3-2 victory Friday night over Finlandia University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans controlled the tempo and peppered the Lion goalie early in the game but could not find the puck past the goaline.
- At 6:33 of the opening period,
Tim Faulkner put AU in the lead as he was assisted by
Brendan Logan.
- Finlandia tied the game with 4:30 to go in the first period and that was the score going into the first intermission.
- The second period was scoreless setting up a big third and final period.
- Early in the third AU took the lead back. The Spartans picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and passing from
Danny O'Donnell,
Brendan Logan and
Ashton Amaya ended with Amaya scoring his second goal of the season.
- 10 minutes later, the AU trio struck again. This time a shot to the net from O'Donnell was beautifully redirected by Logan and the Spartans led 3-1.
- AU went to the penalty kill with just under five minutes to play. Finlandia was able to capitalize and the AU lead shrunk to one at 3-2.
- The Spartans held on in the final minutes and were victorious 3-2.
