Spartans lose early lead and contest at No. 5 Trinity

The Aurora University men's hockey team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on fifth ranked Trinity College but were unable to hold on as they fell 6-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU scored three times in a span of 2:25 midway through the first period.
- Drew Doyon got the scoring started with assists from Tim Faulkner and Larry Jungwirth.
- Dylan Rauh then scored twice in 13 seconds and AU led 3-0.
- The Spartans took the 3-0 lead into the first intermission.
- The second period saw three power play goals, two from Trinity and one from the Spartans.
- Leading 3-1, Shawn O'Malley scored with the extra skater as Jacob Holmers and Anthony Tzveyn picked up helpers.
- Trinity would cut the AU lead down to 4-3 as the teams went to the second intermission.
- The third period saw the home team score three times with one coming on a power play.
- AU fell to the highly ranked Bantams 6-4.
