- AU fell behind 5-0 before Marina Kanner got the Spartans on the scoreboard with her goal with 46 seconds left in the first-half.
- The teams went to halftime with AU trailing 7-1.
- The first-half saw a low scoring contest over the first 25 minute with six of the eight goals scoring in the final five minutes.
- The second-half saw AU score twice with goals from Bridget Poindinger and Janne Brown.
- AU would fall by a score of 13-3.
