Late rally comes up short as Spartans fall to Vikings

The Aurora University men's lacrosse team suffered their first loss in 2018 15-13 at Berry College with a fourth quarter rally coming up just short.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU trailed 5-1 midway through the first with the lone Spartan goal coming from Joey Lucchesi.
- A man-up goal from Trevor McNamara and an even tally from Gavin Hardersen sent AU to the first quarter break down 7-3.
- The Spartans out scored Berry 4-3 in the second to head to halftime down 10-7.
- After getting the deficit down to two (11-9), AU saw Berry score three straight goals into the fourth to go up 14-9.
- The Spartans then started their rally and scored four goals to pull to within one at 14-13 with 3:03 to play.
- Berry was able to slow the AU rally though in the final minutes and the Spartans lost for the first time in 2018, 15-13.
