First night lacrosse contest has Spartans fall to IIT

The Aurora University women's lacrosse team took to the turf at Spartan Stadium for the first time under the lights against Illinois Institute of Technology. AU fell to IIT 11-8

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 1-0 early the Spartans scored three straight goals in a 3:30 span to lead 3-1.
- The Spartans and IIT traded goals before the visitors scored the final two tallies of the first-half.
- AU went to halftime down 6-5.
- 43 seconds into the second, Kristina Krokosz tied the game on an assist from Janne Brown.
- IIT tallied the next four goals to grab a 10-6 lead midway through the second.
- Krokosz scored her third of the night to cut the deficit to 10-7.
- Spartan Bridget Poidinger scored the games final goal with 7:52 to play and AU would fall 11-8.
