The Aurora University women's lacrosse team lost to Hamline University in the semi-final game of the 2018 Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Tournament on Friday, May 4, 18-8.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans trailed 5-0 midway through the first-half.
- Spartan
Marina Kanner scored on a free-position attempt to get AU on the board with 11;08 to play in the first-half.
- Trailing 6-1, AU scored the final three goals of the half with
Emma Martel scoring once and
Andrea Colford twice.
Taylor Arcivar assisted on the Colford goal with just over a minute left in the opening half.
- AU went into halftime, down 6-4.
- The Spartans continued the momentum coming out of the halftime break with
Emma Martel scoring 16 seconds into the second-half to cut the deficit down to one at 6-5.
- Hamline though scored the next 10 goals and with 9:10 to play, AU trailed 16-5.
- Colford added two tallies and
Kristina Krokosz scored a goal in the final minutes of action.Â
- AU would see the 2018 season come to an end with a 18-8 loss.
