The Aurora University Spartan men's soccer team took on No. 3 North Park University on Tuesday night at Spartan Stadium. The Spartans played right with the highly ranked Vikings but a late goal from the visitors proved to be the game winner as AU fell 2-1

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans fell behind in the first half when North Park scored on a through ball to the front of the box, which led to a goal in the 15^th minute.
- AU trailed 1-0 for the remainder of the half.
- The second half saw the Spartans with the initial momentum when they applied the pressure to force an eventual North Park error.
- A penalty kick opportunity for Collin Foreman led to an AU goal after Foreman recovered the rebound off his first shot and found the back of the net on his second attempt in the 60^th minute.
- The two teams played evenly matched for nearly the remainder of the game but a late North Park goal in the 80^th minute showed to be the deciding blow.
- The Spartans continued to press the Vikings in the final minutes and had several scoring chances just miss tying the contest.
- AU fell to North Park by a score of 2-1.
