The Aurora University men's hockey team took on a highly ranked Adrian College team on Saturday afternoon and went toe to toe with the Bulldogs before falling 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first period opened up as an end to end match up with both teams showing off their skating ability.
- At 13:49 of the first, AU was first to put a tally on the scoreboard. Freshman
Roberts Baranovskis ripped a shot from the near dot past the Bulldog goalie and the Spartans led 1-0
Jack DeMatteo assisted on the goal.

Josh Boyko made the lead hold up but a late Spartan penalty would carry over into the second period.
- Adrian capitalized on the power play to start the second. A loose puck off a rebound found its way past Boyko and the game was tied 1-1.
- AU went 0-for-2 on their two second period power plays before Adrian had an extra attacker late in the period.
- A late Spartan penalty put Adrian on the power play and the Bulldogs took advantage to take a 2-1 lead.
- AU trailed 2-1 going to the third period.
- The third period was chippy as the turning point was AU being unable to score on a five minute power play.
- Shortly after,Adrian scored to make the score 3-1
