The Aurora University men's hockey team got back to winning ways with a dominant 4-1 win over the visiting Vikings of Lawrence University on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans scored early in the first period at 4:20 in.
Roberts Baranovskis found a rebound and buried it home.
Jason Recchia and
Anthony Tzveyn picked up assists on the play.
- As the period was about to come to an end, AU went to the power play with 2.1 seconds left.
- On the ensuing faceoff,
Drew Doyon won the draw and following a pass from
Larry Jungwirth,
Anthony Tzveyn buried it home.
- AU went to the first intermission leading 2-0.
- Lawrence scored midway through the second just after an AU successful penalty kill ended.
- Late in the second, AU expanded their lead.
Drew Doyon scored a power play tally with assists from
Brayden Sampson and
Dylan Rauh with 4:16 left.
- 43 seconds later,
Liam Stirtzinger scored the fourth tally of the day for AU and forced Lawrence to call time as the Spartans were flying around on the ice.
Connor Chilton and Tzveyn had assists.
- AU took a 4-1 lead to the second intermission.
- The teams were scoreless in the third period as AU was victorious 4-1.
