HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans hung right with the Warriors in the first quarter, using a late 8-2 run to take a lead 18-17.
- AU trailed 19-18 after one quarter.
- In the second, AU found themselves trailing by 10 on two occasions 33-23 and 36-26.
- The three ball from the Spartans,
Alyssa Brems and
Julie Galauner launched the Spartans back into the contest as AU trailed 38-32 going to halftime.
- The third quarter was not kind to the Spartans as they went cold shooting and WLC out scored AU 19-2 to start the quarter.
- AU trailed after three quarters, 61-40.
- The Spartans would go on to lose to WLC 75-50.
