The Aurora University men's hockey team fell to the No. 6 Green Knights of St. Norbert College 5-1 on Saturday night. The score was not any indication of the closely played contest that occurred on the ice.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a nearly scoreless first period, the Spartans struck first with 58 seconds to play.

Larry Jungwirth lit the lamp for the first time as
Drew Doyon and
Dylan Rauh assisted on the play.
- AU took the 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
- The Spartans maintained that 1-0 advantage well into the second period.
- In the final seven minutes of the second, SNC scored twice to take a 2-1 lead to the intermission.
- Early in the third period, it looked like AU would tie the game but a desperation poke check by a St. Norbert defenseman stopped the puck before it went over the goal line and AU still trailed 2-1.
- After the hosts scored to go up 3-1, the home team went on to add two more goals for the eventual 5-1 final score.
