The Aurora University women's soccer team dominated Alverno College in midweek Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action. The Spartans defeated the Inferno 8-0 and improved their winning streak to four.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jessica Mirsky started the Spartan scoring in the eighth minute of the game when she was able to collect a pass from Corina Leyva, beat an Inferno defender and find the back of the net. 
- The remainder of the first half concluded without any additional scoring, with the Spartans leading 1-0 at the intermission. 
- The Spartan offense found its rhythm in the second half, scoring an additional seven goals on the night.
- The first of those goals came just minutes into the second half when Corina Leyva was able to punch in a Spartan goal on a rebound off the keeper.
- Abby Kay would be the next Spartan to score, driving a shot into the lower right corner on a cross from Jessica Mirsky.
- Six minutes later, in the 56th minute of the game, Abby Kay scored her second goal of the night on another deflection, this time off the crossbar. The Spartans lead ballooned to 4-0.
- After several shots on goal over the course of the game, Alexis Abelove was finally able to finish one off on a beautiful through ball played by Corina Leyva.
- Just two minutes later, Leyva was at it again, as she stole a ball from an Inferno defender and converted the turnover into another Spartan goal.
- Alexis Abelove scored her second goal of the night on an error by an Inferno defender, improving AU's lead to 7-0.
- Emma Aguilar was the final Spartan to score, as she buried a shot in the upper ninety on a nifty pass from Maddison Moore.
- Kelsey Deck and Julia Peters tallied their second combined shutout victory of the season.
