The Aurora University women's volleyball team hosted the 2019 Jim Coleman Memorial Classic with Edgewood College and the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse. AU defeated Edgewood 3-0 in the opening match which was also the final home regular season Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contest. The Spartans then took on the fifth ranked region team from Wisconsin - Lacrosse and defeated the Eagles in four thrilling sets 3-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED -
- The Spartans started slow in the opening set but after taking a 9-8 lead, AU pulled away to win 25-18.
- AU jumped out to a large early lead in the second set, 10-4 and again led 18-11 before a late Edgewood rally saw the final score 25-21 AU.
- The Spartans dominated the third and final set with only the first service of
Julia Wood coming around to serve a second time.
- The third set saw three aces from
Kaycie Wenzel and six kills from
Sydnei Avery while
Imani Freeman added to her match high total of 12.

MATCH TWO vs. UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN - LACROSSE
HOW IT HAPPENED -
- The Spartans took on the Eagles from UW-Lacrosse in the final match of the night, with both teams having defeated Edgewood 3-0.
- The teams went toe to toe throughout the opening set. The Spartans found themselves trailing 8-5 but rallied to take a 14-12 lead on back to back aces from
Kaycie Wenzel.
- AU led the remainder of the set but the contest came down to the final point with an Eagle error leading to a 25-23 AU set win.
- The Spartans never led in the second set but trailing by six late, rallied but came up just shy to fall 25-23.
- AU then never trailed in the third set, leading from the opening point on a kill from
Lindsey Simpson. The Spartans won the third set to take a 2-1 lead, 25-14.
- The fourth and would be final set was completely controlled by the Spartans. AU forced the Eagles into many errors with their constant pressure.
- AU led by as many as 12 points on numerous occasions and went on to win 25-15 after leading 24-11.
