The Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team opened the 2019-2020 home season with a 65-55 loss to Wisconsin Lutheran College on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans jumped out to a fast 9-0 lead and led 11-2 with six minutes left in the first quarter.
- WLC was able to slow the Spartan attack and finished the quarter on a 12-2 run and AU trailed 14-13 after one period.
- In the second, AU found themselves trailing 21-14 but used a 7-0 run of their own to tie the game 21-21 with three minutes left in the half.
- A
Meija Rabi jumper with n28 seconds to go finished the half scoring as AU trailed 29-27.
- Rabi Led all scorers with 10 first-half points.
- In a game of runs, the third quarter was no different as WLC started the period on a 6-2 run to lead 35-29 before the Spartans answered with a 7-0 run to take a 38-37 lead.
- The Spartans would trail 53-47 as WLC ended the quarter on a 6-1 run.
- Cold shooting clipped the Spartans to start the fourth as WLC jumped out to a 65-49 leadÂ
- AU crept back in but got no closer than the final difference of 65-55.
