- The Lakers went on a run to start the second half, cutting the Spartan lead to 11 with 7:03 left to play in the third quarter.
- The Spartans responded right back, scoring a flurry of points in the third quarter and extending the lead to 62-36 with 1:53 to play in the third quarter.
