The Aurora University men's hockey team headed to the state of hockey for a weekend series with the opener at #5 Augsburg University. The Spartans held a large advantage in shots on goal but could only manage one goal as they fell by a 3-1 final score.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With 12:40 into the first period, AU saw the hosts score and trail 1-0.
- The Spartans answered quickly though just 1:20 later. Connor Chilton scored with assists from Adam Keyes and Riley Doyon.
- AU would trail 2-1 after the first period with Augsburg scoring with just over two minutes left in the opening period.
- The Spartans out shot Augsburg 18 to 3 in the second period but it was the hosts who were able to manage the lone goal of the period.
- Heading to the third period, AU trailed 3-1.
- AU again out shot Augsburg in the third, this time 14-6 but again just couldn't manage to light the lamp.
- The Spartans fell by a final score of 3-1.
