HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU built and early lead following a three from Will Hrubes at 15-9 with 15:21 left in the first-half.
- A three from Justin Wierzgac a few minutes later gave AU a 22-13 lead, their biggest of the game.
- AU saw Rockford close out the first-half on a 7-0 run and the Spartans trailed at half 47-41.
- After two free throws from Ha'ashim Keys, AU saw their offense go cold from the field.
- A 14-0 Regent run put the Spartans down double-digits at 66-49 with 13:23 left in the game.
- The Spartans began their comeback and when Bailey Vance converted a lay-up with 4:49 to go in the game, AU was within four at 84-80.
- AU went on to fall in the NACC contest 101-93.
