In a contest that was rescheduled three times due to the recently horrid Midwest weather, the Aurora University Spartan women's basketball team defeated Marian University 83-43 in a rare Friday afternoon matinee on Lancaster Court in Thornton Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans trailed 4-3 and went on a 15-4 run to take control of the contest.
- AU led 28-13 after the first led by 11
Julie Galauner points.
- Led by 50-percent (9-of-18) shooting from the three-point line in the first-half, the Spartans took a 46-24 lead to halftime.
- AU out scored Marian 24-9 in the third quarter to put the game well out of reach.
- All Spartans dressed players saw action in the game as AU won handily, 83-43.
