- AU trailed 2-1 early in the contest with the Spartan goal coming from
Kristina Krokosz.
- The Spartans scored five straight goals to take a 6-2 lead with 6:12 left in the first-half.
- Four Spartans, Krokosz (two),
Marina Kanner,
Janne Brown and
Margaret Flanagan scored in the 5-0 run.
- Kanner scored twice more in the first-half around two IIT goals.
- AU led the Hawks 8-4 going to halftime.
- 4:22 into the second-half,
Claire Carlson scored and AU led 9-4.
- Over the final 25:35 of the second-half, AU was held scoreless as IIT chipped away at the Spartan lead.
- AU saw IIT tie the game with 1:53 left in the game.
- In overtime, following an AU yellow card, IIT scored to defeat the Spartans 10-9.
