HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU took a 2-1 lead 4:02 into the game after back to back goals from
Marina Kanner and
Claire Carlson.
- Kanner later scored to give the Spartans a 3-2 lead midway through the half.
- Trailing 5-3, Kanner scored the final goal of the half with 27 seconds to go.
- AU trailed 5-4 going to halftime.
- The Spartans opened up the second-half with four goals in the first 7:20 and led 8-5.
- CUC scored to stop the AU run but the Spartans started another.
- Five more AU goals over a span of 10 minutes gave AU a 13-6 lead with 7:24 to go in the game.
- AU would win 13-7.
