- The Spartans came out hitting and jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the top of the first.
Davis Purviance led off the game with a double and scored the first run on an
AJ Gill single.
- AU added three more runs for starter
Carter Turnquist in the third.
Michael Fidler led off the inning with a double and he later scored on a two-run single from
Colin Rivard.
- Gustavus scored a pair of unearned runs on Turnquist in the fourth inning but that was all that the junior hurler would allow,
- Turnquist finished the game, throwing 105 pitches over the complete game nine innings, striking out four and scattering seven hits.
