- AU took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter on goals from
Jameson Morrison and
Nic Kruzlic.
- The Spartans scored six unanswered goals in the second to take an 8-1 lead to half.
- MSOE scored first in the third but
Josh Boyko scored on an assist from
Braden Toll for the only scoring of that session.
- AU scored four times including two man-up tallies in the fourth to win 13-2.
- The AU defense was locked in, allowing just two goals.
