The Aurora University women's soccer team opened up Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play with a 1-1 to the Cougars of Concordia Chicago. Both teams saw plenty of shots and the Spartans applied pressure late, with three shots on goal in the second overtime, but 120 minutes was not enough to determine a winner. The Spartans start conference play with a 1-1 draw to CUC.

Jessica Ortiz was able to capitalize, netting her first goal of the season on a Spartan penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
- The Cougars pulled the score back to even 15 minutes later, finding the back of the net in the 68th minute.
- Regulation ended with a 1-1 tie, sending the game into overtime.
- After two overtime periods, neither team could capitalize on opportunities and the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
