- The Spartans jumped out to an 11-0 lead and went on to lead 22-8 after one quarter.
- In the second quarter, AU was leading 39-20 late in the half when burned popcorn set off the fire alarm system, delaying action.
- AU calmly returned to action a short time later and took a 43-24 lead to halftime.
- The Spartans opened the third on an 8-0 run and put the game completely out of reach.
- After three quarters, AU led 58-34.
- With all dressed Spartans seeing minutes, AU went on to win 81-46.
