The Aurora University men's hockey team played to a 1-1 overtime tie at #7 Lake Forest College on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans and Foresters played a scoreless first two periods of play.
- AU was out shot in the first period with goalie Josh Boyko making 13 saves.
- The Spartans then out shot LFC 21 to 11 in the second period with no scoring happening.
- In the third, AU fell behind with 5:22 to[play when LFC broke the scoreless tie.
- But just 36 seconds later the Spartans found the equalizer. Riley Doyon scored the tying goal with assists from Roberts Baranovskis and Lordanthony Grissom.
- The game would remain tied 1-1 with the teams heading to a five minute overtime.
- AU had to kill off a penalty with just under two minutes to go and were able to successfully keep the game tied 1-1.
