The Aurora University baseball team swept a doubleheader with Penn State Altoona on Saturday afternoon, winning 8-2 and 13-2.

GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS 
- The Spartans took an early 5-0 lead in the first inning with five singles from Josh Reinhardt, Dylan White, AJ Gill, Jacob Bachio and Corey Vondra.
- In the second, Reinhardt led off with a double and scored later in the inning on a Jett Wedekind ground out.
- The game moved along through the middle innings of the seven inning first game until the fifth.
- PSU-Altoona scored twice on four singles off Spartan starter Carter Turnquist in the bottom of the fifth.
- Going to the sixth, AU led 6-2.
- An error started the inning for the Spartans and when AJ Gill singled, Reinhardt scored and AU led 7-2.
- The Spartans then added an insurance run in the seventh from Jett Wedekind. He reached by being hit by a pitch and scored on a Corey Vondra sac fly.
- Turnquist set down PSU-Altoona in the seventh and AU won 8-2.

GAME ONE TOP PERFORMERS 
- Josh Reinhardt was two for four with a double, and three runs scored.
- Carter Turnquist earned the win, pitching seven innings, allowing two runs and striking out seven.
- AJ Gill was two for four with two runs batted in.
- Corey Vondra was one for three with two runs batted in 

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS 
- The Spartans scored twice in the first on singles from Josh Reinhardt and AJ Gill with Altoona also committing a pair of errors.
- The third saw AU add two more runs with three free passes and two more Altoona errors.
- In the fifth, Corey Vondra reached with a two-out infield single and moved to third on a Nick Baldassano double. On the next pitch, Vondra scored on a wild pitch.
- AU led 5-0 going to the sixth.
- Altoona scored a pair of runs in the sixth after a single and error with Nick Malmberg on the bump, had the Spartans turn to the bullpen and Seth Gutknecht. A double scored two and AU led 5-2.
- The Spartans blew the game open in the bottom of the inning. AJ Gill drove in four in the frame with a two run double to start the inning and a two run single after the Spartan hit around. Eric Johansen drove in two with a single and Colin Rivard and Dylan Bloom both drove in a run each.
- AU would win game two 13-2 and sweep the doubleheader.

GAME TWO TOP PERFORMERS 
- AJ Gill went three for four with a double, five runs batted in and two runs scored.
- Nick Malmberg threw 5-1/3 innings, allowing two runs and striking out nine.
- Josh Reinhardt went two for three with a double and two runs scored.
