HOW IT HAPPENED
-Â The Scarlet Hawks struck first with a goal in the 9
th minute, giving IIT a 1-0 lead.
- IIT scored again in the 18
th minute, bringing the Scarlet Hawks lead to 2-0.
- The remainder of the first half saw plenty of play in the defensive, but few offensive opportunities for the Spartans.
- The Spartans remained scoreless in the first half, down 2-0 at halftime.
- In the opening minutes of the second half, IIT scored, extending their lead 3-0.
- As minutes fell off the clock in the second half, the Spartans struggled offensively, not able to capitalize on any scoring opportunities.
- The Spartans would go on to lose, 4-0.
