The Aurora University women's basketball team saw 12 Spartans score with five surpassing double-digits in a 103-73 season opening victory over Elmhurst University.

- The game out to a slow start with AU trailing 4-3 3:04 into the first quarter.
- The contest would see the lead change five times in the first quarter and after 10 minutes, the score was tied 20-20.
- April Tuason came off the bench to score eight first quarter points.
- A Talia Bee three-ball started the second quarter and the Spartans were off and running.
- The Spartans had several large runs in the second quarter to break the game open, including a 13-2 run midway through to see AU lead 38-26.
- A Gabby Moore basket with 37 seconds to go in the half pushed the AU lead to 16 at 50-34.
- AU took a 52-38 lead into halftime.
- Crystal Rios led all scorers with 12 first-half points.
- The third quarter saw AU get out in transition and knock down three's, building a 28-point lead with 2:48 on the clock.
- After three, AU led 76-52.
- Nine different Spartans scored in the third quarter.
- AU built the games largest lead of 39 on a Karli Fischbach lay-up with 3:28 to go.
