Galauner becomes AU women's all-time leading scorer in Spartan loss

Aurora University women's basketball has a new all-time leading scorer in senior Julie Galauner. Galauner scored 14 points in the Spartans 89-74 loss to University of Wisconsin - Stout on Tuesday evening. Galauner needed 12 points to become the all-time leading scorer coming into the contest. The previous mark was held by AU legend Dana Lettow (Wagner) who scored 1,693 from 1993-1997.

How it happened
- The Spartans fell behind 4-0 but responded with an 11-1 run to lead 11-5 with 5:59 to play on a Galauner three.
- AU led 15-10 with four minutes to go in the first on a Savannah Johnson put back.
- The Spartans went cold from the field to end the first as Stout finished with a 15-2 run.
- AU trailed 25-17 after one.
- Late in the second, the Spartans ran off a 5-0 fun capped on a Gabby Moore three to pull within two at 37-35.
- The Spartans would trail 40-35 going to half.
- Turnovers and cold shooting hit the Spartans in the third as they would find themselves down 64-48 heading to the fourth.
- The highlight of the game for the Spartans would come with 6:25 on the clock in the fourth.
- AU senior Julie Galauner scored her 12th point of the night and 1,694th point of her career to make her the all-time scoring leader in AU women's basketball. 
- The Spartans managed to get within 10 on an Eliot Dojutrek layup with 2:43 to play.
- AU would fall 89-74 in the non-conference tilt.
