The Aurora University men's hockey team was victorious in a shootout in the opening game of the Superior Subway Classic and advance to tomorrow's championship game. AU tied the College of St. Scholastica but advances with the 2-0 shootout win.

- With 4:53 left in the first period, the Spartans went to the power play.
- 54 seconds into the power play, Simon Boyko put AU ahead with a goal. Brayden Sampson and Andrew Lane had assists.
- With 1:35 left in the period, Scholastica tied the game with a power play tally.
- In the second period, AU regained the lead with an unassisted tally from Connor Smith.
- The Spartans maintained the 2-1 lead going into the third.

- The Spartans dominated the overtime session, out shooting CSS 7-0 but were unable to find the back of the net.
