The Aurora University women's hockey team completed the weekend sweep at Lawrence University with a 6-0 shutout on Saturday afternoon.

-Marisa Trevino got AU on the board with a power play tally 8:27 into the second period. Trevino was assisted by Peyton Elliott and Darci Matson.
-Just over one minute later, Makenna Brownlee scored an unassisted tally to extend the Spartans lead 2-0.
-Rachel Campoli joined in on the scoring action with a power play tally. She was assisted by Lexie Martinez and Erin Campbell.
-AU led 3-0 going into the second intermission. 
-The Spartans jumped out early in the third period when Lexie Martinez scored on an assist from Olivia Matson. 
-Four minutes later, Stephanie Schumnk gave the Spartans a 4-0 lead with assists from Darci Matson and Hannah Gwillim.
-With ten minutes left to play, the Spartans scored their third power play tally of the night. Darci Matson scored on assists from Ava Eid and Olivia Matson.
-AU was victorious 6-0.

Next home action for the Spartan women's hockey team comes on Saturday, December 10 when they host Concordia University Wisconsin at 3:00 p.m. at the Fox Valley Ice Arena in Geneva, Illinois. The game is a Toys for Tots and Teddy Bear Toss event. Bring teddy bears to toss on the ice after the Spartans score their first goal.
