- Nathan Yockey led the Spartans in first half scoring with eight points.
- The Spartans held the lead going into halftime 43-42.
- Concordia Chicago came out strong to start the second half, and took their biggest lead of the night 50-43.
- Within three minutes, AU had fought back to take the lead again.
- The Spartans were down five points with three and a half minutes to play, when the defense for both teams stepped up.
- Rashad Johnson hit a three pointer to bring the game within two. 
- CUC and AU traded baskets until the end of the game, and the Spartans ultimately lost by 2.
