The Aurora University women's lacrosse team used a huge first-half offensive performance to make easy work of Augustana College 17-3 in their 2021 home opener on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- AU freshman Hannah Martindale opened the scoring 3:13 into the game, her first collegiate goal.
- After a goal from Monique Gibson, Marina Kanner dropped three straight and AU led 5-0 with 19:56 to go in the first-half.
- Goals continued to come for AU with Elle Blake scoring twice, Claire Carlson had two with Bailey Simpson, Jalyn Yaukovitz and Gibson add a goal each.
- With the running clock enacted, AU led 12-0 going to halftime.
- In the second-half, Carlson scored three times with Simpson and Janne Brown adding tallies.
- The goalie combination of Jenna Ford and Michaela Yngve split the game for the victory.
