HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans struck first with
Monique Gibson putting the ball in the net 2:49 into the game.
- After Gibson put AU up 2-1 with 22 to go, the Spartans went scoreless for the rest of the first-half.
- IWU led 4-2 going to halftime.
- Coming out of halftime, AU got a pair of goals, one each from Gibson and
Claire Carlson to tie the game 4-4 with 25 minutes to play.
- IWU ran off a 4-0 run to put AU down 8-4.

Bailey Simpson scored to stop the run and with 7:18 to go, AU trailed 8-5.

Marina Kanner and Gibson scored in the final minutes but the Spartans just didn't have enough time to complete the rally.
