The Aurora University women's volleyball team defeated Dominican University 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23) Thursday night in Thornton Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED MATCH ONE -
- The Spartans threatened to pull away early in the first set, but Dominican wasn't going away. Spartans were able to win set one 25-23.
- In set two, AU jumped out to an early 8-2 lead.
- Like set one Dominican would come back and make it a close set. AU would take set two, 25-23.
- Set three seemed to be heading for a similar story as the first two, but the Stars were able to jump passed the Spartans this time.
- AU would have the lead for most of the set. Dominican tied it at 23-23 and would go on to win the set 25-23.
- The Spartans came out slow in set four. Down 16-10 before calling a timeout sparked them back up.
- AU would tie the set 21-21, and go on to win the set, 25-23, and match 3-1.
