Spartans dominate Regents on the road

The Aurora University women's volleyball team defeated Rockford University 3-0 in match one and 3-0 in match two Sunday evening in Seaver Gym, in Rockford, Illinois.

THE BASICS:
FINAL SCORE MATCH ONE: Aurora University 3, Rockford University 0 (25-14, 25-18, 25-12)
FINAL SCORE MATCH TWO: Aurora University 3, Rockford University 0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-14)
LOCATION: Seaver Gym - Rockford, Illinois 
RECORDS: Aurora University 6-0 overall; 4-0 conference

HOW IT HAPPENED MATCH ONE -
- AU jumped out to a 5-0 lead in set one with the final three points of the run coming on kills from Sydnei Avery.
- The Spartans would cruise through set one, winning 25-14.
- Set two opened up with a RU point, which would be their only lead of the match.
- AU would win set two 25-18, led by Anastasia Brown with 5 kills.
- The Spartans dominated set three winning 25-12 with Brown and Kaycie Wenzel leading with four kills each.

HOW IT HAPPENED MATCH TWO - 
- Set one was a battle for the first half until about the 10 point mark when AU started to take over.
- Spartan Gillian Hoerman was setting up everyone to lead AU to a 25-17 lead.
- AU rolled through the Regents in set two with Madison Leone leading the Spartans in aces for the set.
- The Spartans would take set three and the match 25-14 led by Danielle Lauer with 5 kills.
